The sparks are just as good or better than with the back of your high carbon bushcraft knife. NOT ONLY THAT, this fire steel comes with a bow drill groove on one side to hold the bow drill rod firmly down on the platform. This Esee Fire Steel is a triple threat PLUS unit. The higher price is totally worth the higher functionality of this unit. Esee is a well respected name in the Knife world. They came through with this well thought out fire steel.
