With a 4 year old its tough to get a fire going. I don't have to worry about sparks or anything flying out of it, also you don't smell like smoke the next day. easy to start. keep it going by adding small handfuls of pellets every so often or just let it burn out, no need to have to make sure its all out by drowning with water.
Great size for a small backyard. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Uses hardwood pellets which are also easy to store and utilize.
Delivered with visible rust. Complained but seller never contacted me. Works good but should have come in looking like new
Gets warm, definitely needs starting fluid, heats up small area but if your sitting near it does the job.
This review is not on the SS flame genie since they delivered the wrong one. I received the not stainless steel one although I paid for the upgraded one. I am sure it would have worked well since the non stainless steel one works great. Walmart wouldn'tcredit me the difference in price. I had to return the one they shipped only to reorder the same one as I received since they were out of stock on the stainless steel one. What an unnecessary rigamarole .

It is good to have, although I hope I will never need to use it.
This particular model of escape ladder is reusable, not just for one time use.Therefore you can unpack it and hang it out a window to check it out.
Ladder itself is well packaged but box container doesn't secure [by design?]. Also, hard time finding place to store it near window. Won't fit under bed. Packaged ladder is 8" without box and almost 9" with box. Can not unfold and use to test, but despite the 2 minor aesthetic issues, I finally feel a little safer to have a 3rd floor escape. My area is becoming increasingly subject to fire weather.
Will do the job intended but it looks more like use for a child and an adult might hesitate to trust such a small (narrow) ladder. I guess when the flames are at your side you will try anything and it will hold you; I am 250 pounds and it held me.
A compact ladder that arrives in a box similar to a briefcase. This item can be placed under a bed, in a closet, near a window, etc.
